Free English number games

Short answer: English for Fun has three free number games. Count & Collect asks you to count fruit, animals and toys from 1 to 10. Number Train asks which number comes before or after, from 1 to 20. Bubble Pop ABC includes number rounds from 0 to 20. All are free, with no account and no ads.

The number games

A good order to play

  1. Start with Count & Collect: count real-looking objects aloud, from 1 up to 10.
  2. Move to Number Train in the 1–10 range to practice the order of numbers.
  3. Try Bubble Pop ABC number rounds to match the spoken number with its digits.
  4. Switch Number Train to 1–20 when the order of numbers feels easy.

What these games practice

Counting objects, knowing the order of numbers and recognizing the written digit are three different skills. Each game focuses on one of them, so they work well together.

For counting beyond play, count real things at home and say the number words aloud. The maths words topic page has the vocabulary for adding and taking away.
