Choose an island

Fun games and activities to build your first English words.

Short answer: If you are starting English from zero, or you want to help someone who is, Early Learning is built for that: every word is spoken and shown with a picture, so nobody needs to read English first and a helper does not need to know English. Seven island games cover letters, numbers, early math, shapes, colors, picture words and short sentences. The first island or lesson of each game is free to try, with no account and no ads.

Questions

Who is Early Learning for?

Anyone starting English from zero, at any age. Every step is spoken and shown with a picture, so you do not need to read English first.

Which island should I start with?

Start with Letter Island or Word Island for letters and first words, Number Island for numbers, and Shape Island or Color Island for shapes and colors. Math Island and I Can Read are good next steps once you know some words.

Is it free?

The first island or lesson of every game is free to try, with no code needed. Full access is prepaid for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and opens the rest of the islands and the full Learning Path.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for, and there are no ads. Progress is saved on the device you play on.

How is it different from the Learning Path?

Early Learning teaches first words, letters and numbers through games. The Learning Path continues with sentences, grammar, pronunciation and writing.

Can a helper who does not speak English sit with me?

Yes. Every instruction is spoken and every word has a picture, so a helper only needs to sit beside you, listen and repeat.

How long should a session be?

Five to ten minutes a day is enough to start. Short and often works better than one long session.
