How to write a paragraph in English: steps and a model

Short answer: A paragraph is a group of sentences about one idea. Start with a topic sentence that states the idea, add two to four details that support it, and finish with a closing sentence. Keep to one idea, link the sentences with words such as first, also and because, and begin the paragraph on a new line.

A model text

Reading every day helps me in three ways. First, I learn new words, and I remember them because I see them in stories. Also, my writing gets better, since I notice how good writers build sentences. Finally, reading helps me relax after a long day. That is why I read every day.
